This is a national, retrospective, observational, cohort study that seeks to determine future risk of violence recurrence across multiple forms of youth violence. We are using propensity score analysis to determine if youth with an initial emergency department visit for violent injuries are more likely to have a repeated experience of violence compared to their matched peers without initial experiences of violence.
