Interdisciplinary Expert Recommendations for a Pediatric Emergency Department-Based Violence Prevention Program to Address Multiple Forms of Youth Interpersonal Violence: A Delphi Study
Description
We are conducting a national Delphi study to develop expert consensus recommendations for a hospital-based violence prevention program to prevent multiple forms of youth interpersonal violence. Existing hospital-based violence intervention programs address gun violence and physical assault, but there are no existing programs that address broader forms of interpersonal violence experienced by youth. We are assembling experts with professional and lived experience of physical assault, child abuse, intimate partner violence, trafficking, and health equity, to create the first expert derived guidelines via a Delphi methodology.
Community Advisory Board
This study is guided by a group of 11 professionals with expertise in a diverse range of forms of violence as well as lived experiences to serve on the Community Advisory Board for this study. The Community Advisory board is informing key steps in project implementation and will participate in creating policy briefs based on the study results.
